Dr. Suman Ghosh, Distinguished Professor
Dr. Suman Ghosh
Dr. Ghosh is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Florida Atlantic University. He teaches Investments and International Finance at the undergraduate level, and Multinational Finance and Theory of Corporate Finance at the graduate level. Prior to joining FAU, Dr. García was Director of Exam Development at CFA Institute from 2007-2009. At CFA Institute, he organized and managed all processes and activities necessary to develop the CFA Level II and III item set examinations. Dr. García was an Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska from 2001-2007. At Creighton, he taught Investments, Corporate Finance, and International Finance; he also taught Capital Markets and Quantitative Methods in the Master’s in Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, which he helped design around the CFA Program curriculum.
Dr. García has published articles in prestigious academic journals, such as Journal of Finance, Financial Management, Financial Review, Journal of Financial Research, and Journal of Financial Education. He also has articles forthcoming at the two leading investment practitioner journals, Financial Analyst Journal and Journal of Portfolio Management. Dr. García holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Economics from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, Spain. Dr. García earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2001 and the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) in 2011. Dr. García has actively served on the Board of Directors of the CFA Society of South Florida since 2009 and has been an officer since 2011. He has also been an active volunteer at CFA Institute since 2009. He is currently an Associate Editor at Financial Analyst Journal.
