FAU’s Adams Center Offers Special Series of Courses in Entrepreneurship Open to the Public this Fall

The courses will be open to FAU students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as the public, and will take place on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 9:20 p.m.
The first course, “The Predictive Entrepreneur,” will be from Aug. 23 to Sept. 20. The series continues with “Disruptive Technology,” which runs from Sept. 27 to Nov. 1. The series concludes with “How To Establish Foreign Business,” which runs Nov. 8 to Dec. 6. Learn More.

Dr. Richard Gendler, Professor, Accounting

Professor in the Department of Accounting, Richard Gendler, J.S.D, is making waves in the study of law and at FAU's College of Business.

Dr. Gendler is the senior shareholder of Richard S. Gendler & Associates, P.A.  His practice specializes in consumer backruptcy, in which Dr. Gendler is a credentialed expert.  

In October of 2013, Dr. Gendler successfully defended his dessertation, "Home Mortgage Cramdown in Bankruptcy", and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Science of Law from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.  He is only the second candidate to successfully do so at Thomas Jefferson School of Law.  Further, Dr. Gendler completed the degree while maintaining a thriving legal practice.

Dr. Gendler's particular degree is unique in that it is a research-based doctoral degree requiring three to five years of legal research and writing on a unique issue of law that makes a substantial and novel contribution to a field of study.
