‘Dr. Peter Ricci Honorary Scholarship’ Applications Currently Accepted.
Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business has announced that The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) South Florida Chapter’s annual scholarship fund has been named in honor of Peter Ricci, Ph.D., director of hospitality management at FAU. Applications for the HSMAI South Florida Dr. Peter Ricci Honorary Scholarship Award, for students pursuing careers in hospitality sales and marketing, management or revenue management, are now being accepted.
Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business has announced that its AACSB-accredited M.B.A. in Sport Management program has been ranked fifth in North America and eighth in the world in the 2013 SportBusiness International rankings of Master-level Sport “Courses.” FAU is the only school in the state of Florida listed in the top 25 world rankings.
The Council for Economic Education (CEE) recently introduced the National Standards for Financial Literacy, a framework for the body of knowledge and skills that should be contained in a K-12 personal finance curriculum. Developed by a team of experienced and talented economists, education specialists at Federal Reserve banks, and financial education researchers, the National Standards for Financial Literacy raise the bar for financial literacy education. William Bosshardt, Ph.D., the director of the Center for Economic Education within the College of Business at Florida Atlantic University was the project director in charge of the National Standards for Financial Literacy. “I am extremely fortunate to have coordinated such a well-known and knowledgeable team, said Bosshardt. “These standards will improve how personal finance is presented in K-12 schools.”
